Nature Coast Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program (TAGP).  Under the TAGP, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts (checking accounts) are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account until December 31, 2010.  Coverage under the TAGP is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.  This coverage does not apply to “interest bearing” transaction accounts (checking accounts) also called NOW (Negotiable Order of Withdrawal) accounts.

The temporary increase of FDIC deposit insurance from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor was extended through December 31, 2013. This extension is for the general deposit insurance rules and does not apply to the Transaction Account Guarantee Program.
